I agree that Obama and Hillary are politically driven and it's shameful.
No less shameful than Christie's flip-flop on guns when he became a national candidate.
Twenty of thirty years from now, the dems will probably find themselves in a pickle not unlike the one the repubs are in now.
Scratch deep enough and a zealot who wants schools to teach that the world began 5K years ago in a lovely garden is really not much different from a zealot who thinks that the most important issue facing the country is where people who have had sex operations are allowed to pee.

Sooner or later, politicians who pander to these whacky people are forced to do whacky things.
When they've done enough of them, someone like Trump comes along.
