Yes that's it! Of course! I should of known better than to use a reserved name for field name (although I have done it in the past w/o problems but...) Trying to shorten the field name to minimize typing sure messed things up :))

>DESC is a VFP reserved word. Very bad things can (and do!) happen when you use reserved words for field names. Change it, and I bet the problem goes away.
