>I know it will sound nuts, but it is just the way of it. The program I am adding to has jobs and techs that go out and do them. All the job info is added/edited/stored in vfp. The daily schedule sheets for the techs is then drawn up in a spreadsheet and printed. As things change in the day, they are changed in vfp, and the spreadsheet.

>I know how to export table data to a spreadsheet. What I want to know is, is there a way to include a spreadsheet in a form, and if the data in the spreadsheet is changed, to get it to be changed in the vfp table at the same time. The only term I can think of would be 'mapping' the data from the table to the spreadsheet, and back again... In this instance, the spreadsheet is a logical way, and a practical way to 'create' the schedule, and using a vfp grid would not replace that practicality, and this is the reason for my question. Yes - I can make a report that will mimic the spreadsheet layout for printing the schedules, but a report is 'output', and not 'input'.

I'd try adding a button which, when clicked, would use automation to activate the spreadsheet in read/write mode.
