Yousfi - I solved the problem by keeping address line 1 and address line 2 apart - each in a field on it's own, and then having one underneath the other on the report - that way there is consistently 2 lines, and not 2 only every now and then. Solves ALL the problems. I do think it is a bug in the report writer, tho - that ought not happen!
