By the late 1970's, they had already established themselves as one of the hardest working bands in the world. Geddy Lee emerged as the front-man and his work ethic became a cornerstone of the band.

The first time I saw them on stage was the famous "Exit Stage Left" Tour at the Montreal Forum in the early 1980's. Even though the on-stage technology wasn't what it is today, you can see that these guys were destined for greatness.

For me personally, another thing that made them unique was how much they changed their studio tracks for the better when they played them live. They have literally hundreds of great tracks, but Limelight (and Tom Sawyer) will always be known as their signature songs. Here are 3 version of Limelight over the years.
