That is a very good point Marcia - and generally I agree with that statement. When it comes to Sanders and Trump though you have to look at the two individuals. When I hear 'career politician' I I think that is someone that has become a politician to enrich themselves - not so much someone that's interested in enriching the lives of the people they represent. I do not think Sanders falls into this category because he has a track record that proves otherwise. Meanwhile, Trump, who supposedly has billions of dollars and no political track record at all along with a string of questionable businesses and associations seems more like part of the problem vs part of the solution.
