Only one or the other is needed. An SQL command may do a SET FILTER on an alias instead of returning a cursor. If you already have NOFILTER, then something else is going wrong. A SET FILTER may have been applied to your cursor or another SQL command ran without the NOFILTER. Don't guess at the problem. Solve it.
