Yep. It's my understanding that the whole concept was that people would volunteer to do their civic duty for a few years - go to Washington, then return home to their families and let someone else do the next one. I would like to see the president just have one six year term and something similar for members of congress. When you have career politicians you end up with too much corruption. But as it stands I do not see an amendment being added because of how little congress is able to get done to begin with - so this, in this day and age, would be an impossible task. That being said, you can still look at Sander's record and tell that he's one of the good guys that hasn't been bought by special interest groups. The only thing you can tell by looking at Trump's record is that he's one of the guys buying people off - so it looks to me like he's more part of the problem vs part of the solution. I think I have miscalculated every aspect of the Trump campaign thus far with the exception of assuming his events would eventually turn violent - so needless to say my "predictions" for this election has been dismal. Sanders got 81% of the vote for people under 30 in Michigan, which is a staggering amount. Political movements and social changes often start on college campuses and people of this age group - so if we continue to see trends like this happen the rest of the year, I'd say it's safe to say we will see changes in the USA in the coming years.
