one-question-one-thread is the rule here. It's much more easy to answer if one only pick one of your questions. If a thread is ongoing it might not attract others.

I can not follow half of your questions do to the colloqiual way you use - that's to hard for me in foreign language. Fore example_ Large files opening and in the same sentence exe. Do you mean large exe opening or opening large files while exe is running?

google is a good source for multiple instances of VFP
see http://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=809782 for example

It's better to have the exe on a terminal server then to have the exe local and move the data through the network. To much traffic. At least if you use VFP native data. There are minor settings that will improve TS performance - but there are other sites that list them perfectly. Please don't mind if I don't list them - I would need to google too.

The app presently has a load of tables open, and runs child windows sharing those tables. Every nowwwww and then something happens to upset the apple cart all of a sudden it's brains are scrambled - I am sure it is returning with an index out of order, or a filter not reset, but the plowing thru the code on a low budget - oi...
