I could be wrong, but I thought at one time in the UT interface where you post a picture, there was some text about it having to be a real-life picture of the person (or words along those lines)

I think in many social media sites, you're prompted to post a picture - but you're also allowed by bypass it. I think the same thing should apply here.

There are forum members who have been here for over a decade who never posted a picture. Also, I know of one forum member who received some unwelcome personal messages that were semi-related to the member's picture - that member decided to stop using a picture.
