Maybe you have one voice installed that why item(1) not recognized.
put a structure try...catch...endtry and all is good.
you can load the sapi.dll (c:\windows\system\32\speech..) on vfp object browser and see what it return.
of course Sapi.SPVoice is PC oriented and cannot compose a telephon num....to studay !
