Ha! Good point.
I have zero experience with Twilio, so I can't offer any specific input on the product/service.
However, I see on YouTube that there are several "getting started" videos for Twilio.
A few months ago I had to get up to speed quickly with a service that I had zero experience with. I actually got started by watching some YouTube videos, plus other training videos that the vendor offered on their site.
Bottom line, and I'm sure you know this, when you're learning a new tool, you'll always have to invest some learning curve time. And I really emphasize YouTube because of the increasing value of content on the site.
