i see 2 methods
1.DATETIME([nYear, nMonth, nDay [, nHours [, nMinutes [, nSeconds]]]])
diffrence between 2 dateTime() gives seconds and convert to minutes

2.if ellapsed time is some short use seconds() (sec ellapsed since midnight)

  t0=seconds()
.................
dif=seconds()-t0      &&in seconds
