I think I have found a way around this problem. I have created a small prg I call rset.prg. It has every command I could find to close everything and reset my enviornment back to the way I want it and has evolved over the years. Every time I finish running a form or prg I DO RSET. Near the top of my initial prg that runs everything I put the line ON KEY LABLE F12 DO RSET. Then, when that dang things blows up I just hit F12. MOST of the time it clears out the mess so I can start over. Until I did this I was having the same problems you were. By the way, remember to remove/comment out that line before you give the prg to users.
