You can't change the text directly, since the text is converted into pictures. But you can mark a box which surrounds the text you want to change, and erase it. Then you can write new text.

Update: I haven't use SnagIt's editor for editing text in a very, very long time. Now I realize that the text editing features have been removed completely, I am sure that they were included in earlier versions. Sorry for wasting your time.
