Why did they say anything? Who asks a pizza shop to cater a wedding? I think they spoke out to get attention (presumably to get more business from those who agreed with them) and never considered that it cuts both ways, especially in this era of social media.

Obviously, death threats are totally unacceptable, and anyone making a credible death threat should be prosecuted. Of course, that's also true for all the creeps who make the Internet unsafe for so many women.
