Hmm that's an interesting stereotype, but way out of date.
A man who is not gay will find it nearly impossible to get a job in the Broadway theater, ballet or the fashion industry.
I'm sure there are some, but I don't know a single male museum curator who isn't gay.
I belong to several art groups and in some of them I'm an outlier socially. That's OK because I have an active social life on my own and I learn a lot from the painters.
In several juried shows I've entered the juror had obviously selected works with gay themes over others.
I didn't feel victimized at all. In fact I really enjoyed the shows.
If a straight juror did the reverse all hell would break loose.
Victims?
I don't think so, unless they are choosing that role.
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
