>Hey worse things have happened to others. Considering what happened I feel quite lucky. To start with, my leg is still attached to my body and I can walk again :). Going though the airport security is a real interesting experience because I have metal rods in my leg where my bone used to be, other hinges and rods attaching my ankle to that, and I have metal in my head where my cheekbone used to be and my forehead is metal under the skin now too - so needless to say when I go though a metal detector it beeps hahaha. The whole reason I was riding a scooter was because it got like 90 miles to the gallon and I never had to pay for parking and it only cost like 1500 bucks - so I THOUGHT it good idea to have one here in Hawaii cause I could use it all year round and I wanted (needed) to save some $ on my living expenses. I'd say its safe to say my little plan to save some $ backfired...haha In the meantime when all this happened, being a 'contractor' I had no income at all for over 2 months because I couldn't even stand up and was in too much pain to actually do any work even from home. Eventually I got a call saying that if I did not return to work in 2 days that they were going to hire someone else - so I returned to the office a lot sooner than I should of. Then - when I did finally come back - found out I was getting a 18% pay cut because "that's what they pay now". So no pay for time off, no vacation pay, no heath insurance, and the 2nd pay cut in 7 years. Meanwhile the contracting company shows record profits. I've completed what I was working on here and the job ends at the end of this month and will not work this contracting company ever again. Now all I need to do is find another job hahahaha. But hey I am still alive and all my body parts are still attached so it's not all bad! :)

That is the spirit! :-)
Wish you every luck / strength to overcome this horrible situation.

Keep it up!

Sergio
