I was working on a design for a POS which would have significantly reduced the number of total screens - using a single form class - you'd be able to apply a different look to the parent class in a very short time. You'd also be able to rebuild the entire system in much less time and you'd gain over all performance improvements by reusing cursors across parent-child and lookup related forms. Furthermore the users would gain much more ability to find data.
