>>And we should believe this - why??? If you believe this, I have a great bridge I can sell to you very cheaply.

And we should DISbelieve this - why??? If you disbelieve this, I have a great bridge I can sell to you very cheaply.

Dissecting the statement:

>>I behaved badly, and I will have to live with that...

IMHO he did behave badly. Even if the things he said were true, there's no excuse for blurting it out. He will have to live with it: I doubt he need trouble himself with further government consultancies after this.

>>but my own inexcusable arrogance is not a flaw in the Affordable Care Act.

Certainly it was arrogant to belittle US voters even if he saw numerous examples of ignorance and foolish knee-jerk reactions. I also agree that neither his admitted poor judgment nor his criticism of American voters, is a reliable sign that the ACA sky has fallen and crushed everybody. Especially a year later when the sky's still up there.

IMHO it's more interesting that there was all this furor because somebody dared to belittle American voters a year ago, but now it's a popular MSM pastime. E.g. http://www.investors.com/politics/editorials/election-season-reveals-rampant-economic-illiteracy-among-voters/ (complete with misrepresentation of Democrat approval for Socialism!)
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
