>I like the features of iTunes - but the solution is badly implemented and I've learned it is best to run it in a VM away from everything else. Though casual users aren't going to understand the idea of creating a VM.
The guy mentions that he tries to earn a living with his music stuff. At least a backup seems to be appropriate.
I do not think that I'm going to buy a guitar and be Mark Knopfler, so why such folks think they can buy a comp and know anything? Blindly sign up for any service without checking the contract - and the rotten fruit is known to be the kraken - and complaining afterwards. If one put all eggs into one basket one have to be extra carefull?
I do not say that Apple does not give a value for the money. But one has to be carefull what is sold extra. I, personally, do not bound myself to such services at all. The music I like is on my local server, and that's it. It's nice to be old enough to no more care about new stuff. The rest I buy to my private use. If possible on a local store not bound to a corp. :)
