As soon as the 'frame' of the window loads, there is this white flash before any background color, etc is painted. It is like a 'blank' window is opened with a white background, and then the background color is filled in, and then it is populated with the various controls. It all happens instantly - not as tho the window is taking ages to load, or anything, but there is just that quick flash of white, and with the screens being dark it is like a strobe, and hurts the eyes after a while...

Yes, I understand the problem. Try load the form off screen ( left=-1000 or top=-1000). Set the form property visible = .F. at design time. Then load the form, move to correct location, set visible=.T. See if that helps.
