The flicker is caused by the _screen.visible=.f. as you said:
"- the app doesn't use the _screen... It is turned off in the Main.prg in the very first lines. "

that is normal and always as this ,in vfp.
instead use the config.fpw where" screen=off"
and you dont have the flicker (flash).
