Yes. I can't seet the properties to the -1000 in the form designer as the form vanishes, so I put it in the Load event, which I believe is the first event to happen, then I put the proper coordinates and the visible into the gotfocus of the first control to get focus, yet it still does the same thing. It looks like it happens as soon as the 'window' becomes visible.. I am about to try the LockWindowUpdate API now..
