Some scientists have commented that with El Nino, temperatures should have been "higher" than they've actually been.
One thing you won't see in HuffPo (or any site that is trying to make political conclusions)...the differences between land-based temp readings and satellite-based readings. Between that and the margin for error in the readings, there's far less to conclude than HuffPo would have you think.
Actually, in the "one had to be pretty bright", you should see some of the resumes and backgrounds of some of the HuffPo authors. :)
