VB probably is easier to learn because OOP concepts can be difficult to grasp. However, it can be easier to program in VFP because inheritance allows more code re-use. If you need a fast local database engine, VFP is definitely superior. In general, VFP allows easier and faster data manipulation than VB.

If you need good compatibility with 3rd party controls (OCXs), VB will be better. VB is also a better choice if you want to use a product like WinFrame or Windows Terminal Server because it uses true Windows controls instead of bitmaps like VFP.

>My question is just to compare the two languages as it relates to application programming. I know VB is alot easier because it's not a "TRUE" OOP language like VFP. Maybe as far as designing Visual classes in VB like you can in VFP.
