I went back and forth to the Far East on troop ships.
There were thousands of men on the ship and just about all of them, including myself, were seasick for most of the trip.
We slept in the hold on bunks that were stacked 5 high.
I was in the bottom bunk - enough said.
I've never been so miserable in my life.

I haven't gone on a ship since and never will.
