To put a positive spin on XP no longer being supported -- XP is (effectively) "immune" to Windows Update.

Of course there's one bit that could be worrisome for folks who are using XP because of specific reasons -- such as needing to use it to support older software or hardware -- how long before you're no longer able to go through the activation process? (I do suspect that there may be specific "hacks" to address this)
