Maybe a quote from Robert Green on the VFP framework might offer some realistic insight into your advise:
"The application framework included in VFP 6.0 is not designed to compete
with any of the other existing 3rd party frameworks. I would
predict that if you compared ours to theirs you would find they win based on
features, documentation, frequency of updates, and useability. After all,
their frameworks are their product. On the other hand, ours is free.
We put a framework in the box to make it easier for developers new to OOP to
get its benefits without having to understand it. So using the default
framework is much better than not using one at all, but if you are familiar
with OOP and frameworks and are investigating which one to use, then you
definately want to shop and compare. "
