My older brother was playing with me as my partner in a collegiate match when I had my ace.
A few years ago he called from New Hampshire where he lives now and told me breathlessly "Well, I finally did it. It took more than fifty years but I had an ace today!"

That's fabulous! I have neighbors that are much much better golfers than I am that have never had an ace. Like I say, sometimes I would rather be lucky than good :)
