When you say wwIPStuff are you talking about an old version of these tools? Then no. SSL support was introduced around the 5.0 version of all the client tools. It's part of West Wind Client Tools and West Wind Web Connection.

Newer versions of West Wind Client Tools and wwIPStuff have a wwSmtp class that supports SSL and can most definitely connect via TLS or SSL to gmail.

When using SSL make sure nMailMode is 0 and lUseSSL is .T..
