On matter of security, not Avast (even if kept it installed untill now), or not a single one software (but a group of these freeware software)...
On 2/3 times in a month (on same day) I run:
JRT
ADWCleaner
ZHPcleaner
Combofix (sometimes)
CCleaner (sometimes)
This is what makes me feel safe (I do not know if falsely)... All of those was recommended by a friend, his is a teacher in a school of computer hardware...
