Sure, not necessary... I do have modal forms on some applications... I know the behavior... But, for the end-user it is a great difference.. Applications that needs goes too deep.. I meant, forms calling, forms and forms and forms... Sometimes the visual pollution confuses... In my case, I have it and all that forms it isn't modals
