Bill, maybe take a chill pill! The USA is still a mighty fine place. Nations do have ups and downs - e.g. consider the idiocy of European nations conducting world wars on their own territory, unlike the US that managed to wage war on foreign fields and only recently faces sporadic enemy action at home. Meanwhile there are pot holes on the roads. OMG.
Sorry for the irreverence but all things will pass. Even Trump will surprise everybody (again) by appointing an excellent administration as JB and MA say and will allow himself to be "persuaded" that various policies might usefully be put off until his second or subsequent ;-) term.
