>>Supported the war based on the lies told to her and everyone else by Bush administration. Skill et - in white house 8 years, secretary of state, senator - thus EXPERIENCE. Someone with no experience on how government even works has no biz in white house. Especially if they've insulted pretty much every religion and race.

>Victor, two things.

>First, on the "lies told by the Bush administration", we've been over this before. :)
>
>I would ask you to point to one piece of evidence to demonstrate that the Bush administration knew there weren't WMDs and yet spread the narrative anyway.
>
>You can make the argument that the intelligence was bad. But remember that many nations (even those who didn't want to join us in 2003) felt he had WMDs. Also remember that the inspectors and the Czech secret service found blueprints and documentation for Hussein's plans to reinstitute WMD programs in the future.

>If you want to say, "in my opinion, we went into the war for dubious reasons", fine, I won't debate you. But (and I've said this countless times), in order to prove that someone has lied, you first must demonstrate that the person had strong evidence to the contrary.
>
>Second...on the "Hillary has been in the white house for 8 years, was sec of state, was a senator"....again, if you want to say, "I will vote for HRC because she is the lesser of two evils"....fine, I won't debate your opinion. However, let's break down what is being offered as experience.
>
>- The "eight years in White House" - that was because she was married to the president. The role of First Lady (or "First Spouse", if you will) is entirely unofficial and carries no official duties. It is a position of status. Yes, many in that role have done great things (Nancy Reagan and drug programs, Laura Bush and children's reading, etc).
>
>- As for Sec of State, the issues related to the security breakdown with Benghazi, the false narrative to which she contributed, and the extremely carelessness (or worse) of handling classified information have raised serious issues.
>
>It's one thing to say, "someone has experience because they were in a role for years and years and years"....but, using our own industry as a context, there's a big difference between chronological experience and accomplishments.

For Victor - is she believed the obvious hogwash, shame on her.

For Kevin - The lie wasn't that he had WMD. The lie was that we should go to war if he did.
"Fight 'em over there so we don't have to fight 'em here" was an absolute lie. Saddam posed zero threat to the US.
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
