To add to what Josh said, "inheritance" is a feature which cannot be overstated. It promotes code reuse and the ability to utilize third-party or "roll-your-own" application frameworks which takes RAD to an entirely new level.

When you refer to "application programming" in general, there is no clear answer as to which of the two is more powerful - it depends on the type of application. However, because of it's many data-centric features, VFP has many advantages over VB with respect to database application development.

>My question is just to compare the two languages as it relates to application programming. I know VB is alot easier because it's not a "TRUE" OOP language like VFP. Maybe as far as designing Visual classes in VB like you can in VFP.
