I keep lots of them around. I pretty much have a pair anywhere in the house where I'm likely to need them, plus one in my pocketbook. I wonder if you could keep cheapies in some places where the light-sensitivity might not be an issue, and the more expensive ones only where it is.

FWIW, I have two pairs of prescription reading glasses, one for regular reading that I keep by my bed, and one for the computer that I keep on my desk. The rest are drugstore/dollar store glasses.
