I think there are sign the coin is badly bent. In this case, it's because both candidates have high unfavorable ratings. That has never happened before.

You have one party that tried so hard to promote HRC that it effectively alienated voters Time will tell if that alienation is temporary
And you have one party that tried hard to stop the person who won. If they see any opportunity to keep HRC from winning, AND to keep Trump from winning, don't think they won't try.

As I said before - it's a long shot. Then again, Trump was considered a long shot over a year ago. And Sanders was behind by as many as 50 points before closing the gap.
