>>That's fascinating since she's literally spent most of her adult life trying to make other people's lives better. Have you listened to/watched any of the convention this week? Among the things I've learned about were her going to Alabama while a law student to get the goods on a white academy so that it would stop receiving government funds that aided it in avoiding integration and her advocacy for women and children in the US and around the world.

I thought the Ezra Klein piece was interesting for what it says about how she works. There've been a lot of echos of that in this convention--lots of people talking about how she listened.

>-Her support of the Iraq war disqualifies her, period.

Absolutely disappointing and one of the reasons I didn't support her in '08. But Trump was for it, too, despite his saying otherwise now.

>-No one has ever explained the pardon of the swiss billionaire Marc Rich, whose wife is a personal friend of HRC.

Don't know enough to comment on this one.

>-No one who has spent time in VA facilties as I did just this week- it's horrible to see what war has done to our men- can forgive her cynical lie about taking sniper fire.

I wonder if it was a cynical lie or one of those things where the memory has changed over time. (There's some really interesting research that indicates that memories are not fixed, and that each time we retrieve them and replay them, we modify them.) In addition, the post's 4 Pinocchio fact-check on it has an interesting addendum:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/fact-checker/wp/2016/05/23/recalling-hillary-clintons-claim-of-landing-under-sniper-fire-in-bosnia/

Lissa Muscatine, who served as Hilary Clinton’s chief speechwriter in 1996 and accompanied her on the Bosnia trip, feels that I have failed to provide a full picture of what took place. She gave me her “vivid recollections” of the arrival in Tuzla, which I quote below:

I was on the plane with then First Lady Hillary Clinton for the trip from Germany into Bosnia in 1996. We were put on a C-17 — a plane capable of steep ascents and descents — precisely because we were flying into what was considered a combat zone. We were issued flak jackets for the final leg because of possible sniper fire near Tuzla. As an additional precaution, the First Lady and Chelsea were moved to the armored cockpit for the descent into Tuzla. We were told that a welcoming ceremony on the tarmac might be canceled because of sniper fire in the hills surrounding the air strip. From Tuzla, Hillary flew to two outposts in Bosnia with gunships escorting her helicopter.

>-Her colossal failure with the health care fiasco is really unmatched by any first woman (I reserve the word "lady" for ladies.)

What's your problem there, that she tried or that she failed?

IAC, as you commented elsewhere, you may not like her, but what's the alternative? Trump is unfit to be President in so many ways.
