>>Any old WWUtil from Rick Strah'ls suite. I think even the old freebie ones have a HttpGet() which supports the https port. I know I'm using one daily, just don't remember how old it is - a leftover from one of WestWind installs I was handling over the years. Still works.

>Thanks Dragan - I have found out my Chilkat Software controls handle it apparently so that will do the job! I have always used these controls with good effect but just wasn't sure about the HTTPS but the developers confirmed it will work OK.
Well well, who'0d a thunk... I used the freebie Chilkat for FTP for years and then something changed somewhere and it just stopped working, so I had to rework everything around something using raw Windows API, which I downloaded from here.
