>FWIW, Pence may have the temperament; certainly, he's more stable than Trump. But he's a disaster for anyone who's not a white, Christian, straight man. His idea of making American great again is to go back to the era when women and people of color and LGBT folks "knew their place." (That's not a quote from him, but me distancing myself from his ideas.)

>ROFL and LOL!!! Why don't you tell me how you really feel. This is why it is impossible to have a rational discussion with you about politics.

I think I did just tell you how I really feel about Pence. Virtually everything he's been for harms real people. From http://www.ontheissues.org/IN/Mike_Pence.htm, here are some of his votes in Congress:

Voted YES on banning federal health coverage that includes abortion.
Voted NO on expanding research to more embryonic stem cell lines.
Voted NO on allowing human embryonic stem cell research.
Voted YES on banning Family Planning funding in US aid abroad.
Voted NO on revitalizing severely distressed public housing.
Voted NO on prohibiting job discrimination based on sexual orientation.
Voted YES on Constitutionally defining marriage as one-man-one-woman.
Voted NO on $84 million in grants for Black and Hispanic colleges.
Voted YES on opening Outer Continental Shelf to oil drilling.
Voted YES on barring EPA from regulating greenhouse gases.
Voted NO on enforcing limits on CO2 global warming pollution.
Voted NO on $9.7B for Amtrak improvements and operation thru 2013.
Voted NO on four weeks of paid parental leave for federal employees.
Voted YES on prohibiting suing gunmakers & sellers for gun misuse.
Voted NO on regulating tobacco as a drug.
Voted NO on expanding the Children's Health Insurance Program.
Voted NO on establishing "network neutrality" (non-tiered Internet).

This doesn't look at his record in Indiana.

>It is analogous to the BLM people at the DNC shouting "Black Lives Matter!" when the speaker asked for a moment of silence for all the recently murdered police officers...

FWIW, I thought those protestors were wrong. I also thought that overall, the DNC did a really good job of making it clear that you can support equal justice for people of color and support the work of police.
