Fact: at 20 weeks the fetus can distinguish the mother's voice from other voices. There is advanced development in the respiratory and neurological systems.
Fact: at 24 weeks is where you get into statistical viability.
I am pro-choice until these stages, but legislation just based solely on what you described strikes me as borderline petulance. At/after these stages, someone needs to protect something that close to life.
I do not support the R party because too many of them think that "terminating pregnancy to protect life of the mother" is a false choice. My brother's wife almost lost her life because of a situation like that
I do not support the D party because they do not want to talk about what most Americans view as reasonable restrictions (no elective abortions after viability. And now you have the D party pushing for expansive federal funding for elective abortions.
Both parties have, quite simply, lost their minds on this topic.
