If you already used vfp cursoradapter, use it again. If the class is new to you, invest 2H of reading and reserve 2H of learning:
afterwards any remote data is much easier to handle than with remote views or SPT calls.
IIRC there were some version oddities with specific drivers and specific MS-SQL release versions concerning the returned data type. Before beating your head to the keyboard, google specifics. Goes for any technique [cusoradapter, SPT, RV] to access via vfp...
