You know I am no fan of Trump, but I think the reaction has been a bit overblown.

Even if HRC wins and makes a SCOTUS nomination, the Senate must confirm the nomination - and unless the Dems win back the Senate in the fall, I don't think it's likely we'll see any serious threats on the 2nd amendment. Remember that the Dems have held the majority in the Senate many times in the last 20 years and have not been able to pass any legislation that would seriously undermine the 2nd amendment.

Back to the comments today by Trump and his alleged "threat"...while the circumstances were a bit different, HRC made a comment back in 2008 that is worth noting:
