>>We saw Woody Allen's latest - Cafe Society- last night.
>>After some dark, moody movies I didn't like, WA is a back to his roots - pityhy, self-deprecating New York intellectual humor- and along with some great cinematography, sets, costumes, music and an OK plot there are some really good typical Woody Allen laughs here.

We talked about if before deciding to go the the movie- I was leaning your way.
Jeanette leaned the other way and I went along.
She was right.
We both loved the movie.
Some of my greatest heroes- Ernest Hemingway, Walt Whitman, Ghandi, MIK, Tennessee Williams, Leonard Bernstein, James Baldwin, JFK and Tiger - even Shakespeare, have had some serious personal flaws.
Ghandi especially comes to mind when talking about Woody.
Not an easy call and I respect your position.
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
