>What do you mean "nothing else happens." Does the computer lock up? Do you get a GPF? Does the splash screen show and then the application closes? If you run it from the command window and it's fine, how is the environment different? Have you tried running the app without the splash screen?

I do not get a GPF. The computer doesn't lock up. The Splash screen shows and, because I'm running it from the Explorer window, after the splash screen displays, all I see on the screen is the WIndows explorer. IT doesn't display the application menu. It just does....nothing.

Yet, when I run the .app, it runs fine. I've never encountered anything like this before. Don't know where to look!
