>>I think that you are mistaken. There are plenty of boomers who can't afford to retire. That is why they are working at Walmart at the age of 70. I know lots of boomers who have told me that they will never be able to retire.

So how did that happen? The figures show that those people sucked out more from the public purse than they put in, but still can't afford to retire? I'd be interested to know what predator underpaid them all their working lives or what they blew their $ on, in that case.

>>I know that you believe that our social security and Medicare taxes should have been higher.

No, I believe in math. Medicare has a $47T unfunded deficit- because it wasn't funded. By you and yours. Those expected to make up your shortfall, more than likely won't get Medicare because your Ponzi scheme is coming to its inevitable conclusion. SS ditto.

>>I know that you are a big tax and spend kind of a guy and you are entitled to your opinion.

You know no such thing, and thanks for permission to have an opinion. Which is this: unless you're willing to forego Medicare, then your generation had a duty to fund it adequately to cover at least your own predictable costs. You didn't. The only "Tax and spend" I see is young people paying extra tax rather than their own mortgage, to spend on your healthcare while you berate them for not matching your financial prowess.

>> Maybe you should move here and run for office. That way you can try to raise taxes for everyone.

No, Arnie tried that and all he got was an ulcer and more grey hair. Thanks, though.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
