As far as I know, there aren't any major issues -- we've got a number of customers that are using Terminal Services or Citrix. On the upside, if the host for the remote sessions is the same computer hosting your VFP application, you're not going to have to worry about SMB2/3 issues. One of the reasons why those customers are using such a configuration is because they've got a fair number of remote users. Although a VPN connection sounds good -- it *logically* "looks" and behaves like a LAN connection -- but performance-wise isn't good with applications using desktop database system.
