>>But asking for favors while simultaneously donating millions of dollars to a charity controlled by the person who can grant the favor stinks, John
So you're accusing the donors of impure intentions. To attack HRC you'd need to show she actually granted at least one of the requested favors that wouldn't have happened otherwise. Can you? Otherwise it's just a bunch of people wanting stuff being treated the same whether they donated or not.
>>That's not McCarthyism. It's common sense.
It's at least 3 different forms of fallacy unless you can connect the request by a donor, to a reward for donating. Can you? Otherwise it *is* McCarthyist to accuse people of wrongdoing on the basis of unsubstantiated "common sense."
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
