I need more coffee :)

This should have read that I can't drag anything because I can't get an index set in either of the views. Also, it may help to note that I can't do it using the views in the DE but it works just fine that way with the tables so I'm guessing it must be something to do with a view vs. table (and or the view being remote)
>P appreciate the help, truly I do. And I tried that yesterday (although I didn't get to the initialselected alias part. But I can't drag any of the fields in the parent to the child because I can't get an alias set in the child view. I was able to use dbsetprop(childname, "view", "keyfield", encumb_id) (or whatever the exact syntax is) and whenever I do a dbgetprop("keyfield") on either one of them the system'll tell me that the encumb_id is the key field. But when I'm viewing them in the data environment I can't drag any field from the parent over to the child.
